Jerk Meal - Ride From A Stranger (2010)
14 minutes can make a hell of a difference... I was only going to post two of these up here, but if you know what Joose is (I'm talking to you, ALL OF NEW BRUNSWICK), this one goes out to you... and please, for your health, on behalf of The Brown Christmas and all who are friends with them, do not ingest anything while watching this... It's just too good... And I promise this is the last time this year I will do 3 posts in a row of the same dudes doin' shit... Just sit back and love it:
Jerk Meal - Lil' Caesar's Day (2010)
As promised a few minutes ago, here's a really unsettling comedy video of 2/3 of The Brown Christmas making anyone who watches this feel... you know... well... you don't yet... but yeah... don't eat anything that comes up as easily as it goes down before you watch this unless you like doing spit-takes... The only video they have that's more unsettling is coming up in the next post...
Jerk Meal - Rahway Flea Market (2010)
I couldn't help myself; I knew Mike wouldn't post this because he's a part of it; but this is fucking brilliant... Filmed in Rahway, NJ (15 min north/east of New Bruns), here's the first of two of their comedy videos featuring members/music of The Brown Christmas that I will post today... well, this morning:

The Brown Christmas (2010)
A few sets by The Brown Christmas have already been posted, but this one takes the cake. Guest singers, an attempt by a spectator to end the set, and, of course, the greatest singalong of all time.
Joe and Mike, here with Sean and K of Mike Bruno's Black Magic Family Band and Pots and Powercells, respectively, on October 25, 2010 at the Court Tavern:
(Thanks to Ben for filming the set on Mike's Camera)

The Brown Christmas - Avant Garde Film (2007-2009)
Another film by members of The Brown Christmas, this time 70+ minutes long and simply titled "Avant-Gard Film." This is a surrealist journey through the life of two unnamed men going through all the moves of life, including dreaming, cooking breakfast, getting a job, infedelity, birth, revenge, and the like. Scored by The Brown Christmas, starring JoeMazing, and also starring and directed by Michael Barankovich, this is pretty fuckin' awesome.
Again, Brown Acres Productions/The Brown Christmas come through with something weird as hell and totally awesome.

The Brown Christmas - Hipster Day (2009)
In the aptly-named Hipster Day mocumentary by The Brown Christmas, the band covers a wide range of the Hipster interpretation of various aspects of life, including having kids, soul music, sex, food, and the art of noise. The obviously tongue-in-cheek style this film uses is the perfect form of meta-irony used against a culture that fucking thrives on it. All music used in this is from their 2009 release, "Vegan Chinese Food," available from Brown Acres Records, which can be brought to you by the dudes themselves here or here.
Here, in all 7 glorious parts, is Hipster Day.

Ryanay (2005, 2010)
A Fords, NJ native, Ryanay has been playing shows on and off since 2003 in a number of bands, but mostly under his own name. Recently, he has been playing at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick during the Monday night open-mic nights.
This first video is from August 29, 2005 at a show at Hamilton St. Cafe in Bound Brook, was filmed by high school kids (since I was on stage), and includes members of Doomsday Sleepover, The Brown Christmas, and Pots and Powercells.
This next Ryanay set was filmed on July 4, 2010 by Mike of The Brown Christmas at Camp Crystal Lake in New Brunswick. A daytime set, this is a rarity amongst Brunswick shows.

The Brown Christmas (2006, 2007)
These fine young lads from Sewaren/Highland Park have been bringing their synth-based jams to the New Brunswick area since roughly 2005 and have more releases than I can keep track of. They can be reached through their somewhat frequently checked http://www.myspace.com/thebrownchristmas.
This first video is from a show on October 19, 2007 at the now-gone forever burrito shop on Easton Ave. in New Brunswick.
This next video comes from their first recorded, but third overall New Brunswick show, on November 24, 2006 and features the somewhat classic "Nobody knows what it's like to eat my dick tonight."
The Brown Christmas has many original videos featured on their YouTube channel.
