Human Adult Band, Eidetic Seeing, Kohoutek @ Mojo Main (2012)

It wasn't the end of the world, but I would have died happy if the world really did end on December 21, 2012, which was when these were filmed, at Mojo Main, a bar in Newark, Delaware.

As always, Human Adult Band ruled:

Eidetic Seeing brought the psych:

And Kohoutek, well, just watch:

As always, if the videos don't have sound, try loading at 720p.

Summer Dresses @ Alfa Gallery (2012)

As promised, it is now June. Here is the first of the shows we've got but haven't had time to post. Now, unfortunately, I couldn't film this whole show (would've been nice to catch 2673), but here's what I did get.

From Saturday, 21 April, 2012 at Omega Sound Fix II @ the Alfa Gallery on Church St, New Brunswick,

Summer Dresses:

(I'm having trouble with the other videos from this show, so bear with me until I get them working)

2012's Under The Bridge jams

My apologies for not posting recently, laziness, drunkenness, and living in Phillyness made me forget:

I'll not waste more time. Here's the Highland Park Gem Collective:

Next up, the day's master of unceremonies, Trevor Pennsylvania:

Oh, boy. Again, another awesome full set by CJ Boyd. Still touring, still ruling.

And, finally, the master, King Darves

I have a lot more footage backed up from the past month or so, expect at least one show this month and the rest in June.

Veiled, Horse Eggs, & Human Adult Band @ The Court Tavern (2011)

First up, out of Philadelphia, PA and Barcelona, Spain, here's Veiled:

Next, what was supposed to be Mirrors and Wires morphed into Horse Eggs, which was, according to them, "most of the dudes that played in Mirrors and Wires all together at once," with Jay Insult picking up a guitar and microphone for the last few songs:

Fucking finally. It took years, but finally I caught the Human Adult Band covering the Monster Mash. Every other time my battery dies but I finally got it.

The Winners, The Jovontaes, Traits, & Trevor Transylvania (2011)

This was a nice small show behind the Random Tea Room in Philadelphia, PA on October 8, 2011... Starting off, again, with members of The Yets, Jalopy, & Mike Bruno's Black Magic Family Band is The Winners:

Next up was The Jovontaes out of Kentucky:

Then, from Philly, The Traits:

And finally, Trevor Transylvania doing a few songs by the Human Adult Band:

...Just my luck. Battery Died before the Monster Mash.

Pots and Powercells @ Dreamcastle (2011)

Yet another weird jam, featuring members of Human Adult Band, The Brown Christmas, Jalopy, and a bunch of others...

(Recorded March 13, 2011 in Philadelphia... thanks to Mel for filming)

Th' Summer Dresses (2011)

From no-chord to one-chord to two-chord, and finally, three-chord gunk, I take great pride in letting all y'alls see Th' Summer Dresses.

Fuck yeah.

Human Adult Band (2011)

Finally, a totally clear and high-res video of th' Adult Band. Here they are gunkin' out at The Charleston, a bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (ha) on January 15, 2011:

November 17th

Apologies for the extreme delay in getting the posted; kept coming home and falling asleep before starting things uploading. Anyway here you go more music at The Nicolas Cage; hope you’re not in the mood for happy music.
First off from Tampa Florida Craow. This set was aptly described by K as “Being on downers in space” http://www.myspace.com/craownotcrow

Next also from Tampa Florida; Father Finger. They were touring together when this was filmed though I imagine by now that tour is done. http://fatherfinger.blogspot.com/

Lastly Coughin Nails (Trevor Pennsylvania of Human Adult Band and JP of Bog Body) doing some creepy garage rock.

DJ Dogdick, Zomgrul Octim, & Door (2008, interview)

Another non-music post, which there may be a few more of in the future, here's Max's (DJ DogDick's) attempted interview of stragglers at a pre-INC show in Orlando, Florida in February, 2008... I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did. (Please excuse my sidepipe.)

...And yes, we're all from Chaos420balls, France.

Here's a link to Scott Williams' show on WFMU where if you skip to about 1 hour and 23 minutes in, you'll hear Max as DJ Dogdick off of his most recent release (to date)

Human Adult Band (2010)

I've posted a few Human Adult Band videos, but none from recently. Until now. From a show that also saw Sewn Leather and Narwhalz (of sound) at PILAM in Philadelphia on October 30, 2010, here are a few songs from their set.

(sorry for the blurriness, the camera lens was fucked up.)

Human Adult Band (2008)

This song, recorded on December 8, 2008, is, appropriately enough, about workin' the New Brunswick drunk scene and performed live at the Court Tavern on Church St. David Roque of Doomsday Sleepover/Preach Bitter Sermons/Pots & Powercells takes over on bass for this set and went on to play with th' Adults on their 2009 European tour.

Tapes, records, and CD's are available through dihd.net.

The d.i.h.d. Band (2007)

Sometime around November 2007, Mike and Trevor of the Human Adult Band, Dave of Preach Bitter Sermons, and Justin of Namarrgon bought a bottle of scotch, put on some costumes, and did this:

Human Adult Band (2008)

This particular Human Adult Band set was filmed on January 19, 2008 at Mutiny's House, which at the time was becoming the only noise house left in town. Most other shows going on in town were more rock & roll oriented and the departure of Door to Baltimore was a blow to community, but Mutiny's House, until closing its doors at the end of summer 2008, had steady shows, usually twice a month but at times as often as twice a week. This was possibly the loudest Human Adult Band set I've recorded in New Brunswick and as such the audio is a bit blown out, but honestly, who doesn't love loud, slow, filthy rock and roll?

Numerous tapes, cd-rs, 7"s, and LPs are available at dihd.net.

Human Adult Band shows

This coming Halloween-ish time, The Human Adult Band will be playing out of the New Brunswick area for a few nights... Here's a little taste of them; something off of the 2007 DVD available through dihd.net titled "High Hopes"...

Buckets and Batteries (2003)

This is from about a year before I started going to New Brunswick shows and as such, was filmed by Ravi, the owner of the now-defunct Thinisu, an Indian/American fusion restaurant on Easton Ave. in New Brunswick. Members of Buckets and Batteries include Trevor Pennsylvania, most of the Magnet City Kids. Shot over the course of 8 hours on September 20, 2003 and mostly outdoors, this mini-documentary is an interesting watch. As of the writing of this, the sequel band, Pots and Powercells, which includes T. Penn, still plays shows in the New Brunswick area.

Trevor Pennsylvania (2007, 2009)

Trevor Pennsylvania, frontman of the Human Adult Band and the freak behind dihd records, is performing two solo sets here. The first was at the now-defunct burrito shop on Easton Ave in New Brunswick (where I used to work), recorded on November 3, 2007.

This second set was recorded on July 15, 2009 at Meat Town. Other bands that night included Dead Girl History and (although I have no idea why) We Are The Seahorses.
